Who we are
This website is operated by Shivhari Dharma Foundation Trust, a registered public charitable trust (Reg. No. 65/2026; PAN ABOTS5039C), with its registered office at Dharmashram, Shanti Vihar Colony, Chapaki Parari, P.S. Laxmisagar, Darbhanga, Bihar 846004.
This notice applies to personal information we collect through this website — www.shivharidharma.org — when you contact us, report a donation, subscribe to updates, or simply browse. By “personal information” we mean details that identify you, such as your name, email, or phone number.
What we collect
We only ask for what we genuinely need, and only when you choose to give it.
How we use your information
To respond to your enquiry or request.
To record and acknowledge donations and issue 80G receipts, as tax law requires.
To send updates you asked for, and for nothing you didn’t opt into.
To meet our accounting, audit and statutory obligations.
To keep the website secure and prevent abuse.
To understand and improve how the site is used.
We rely on your consent where you give it (for example, subscribing to the newsletter), and on our legitimate charitable administration and legal obligations where we must keep records (for example, donation and tax records). We are mindful of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and aim to handle your data consistently with its principles.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where necessary, and only with:
- our Chartered Accountant and, where legally required, tax and government authorities (for donation receipts, audit and statutory filings);
- our bank and the UPI payment system when you make a payment — your payment is handled by your own bank/UPI app, and we do not store your card or bank credentials;
- our website hosting provider, which stores the site and its data securely on our behalf.
Cookies & analytics
Our analytics provider sets small cookies to measure site usage in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work. We do not use cookies for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- see the personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your information, where we are not required to keep it (donation and tax records must be retained for the period the law requires);
- stop receiving the newsletter — use the unsubscribe link in any email, or just ask us.
To make any of these requests, email info@shivharidharma.org and we will respond within a reasonable time.
How we protect your information
The site runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, the admin area is password-protected with access limited to authorised people, and sensitive configuration and records are stored in a private area not reachable from the web. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to keep your information safe.
Children
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Future healthcare services
The Trust is planning a charitable hospital, Jaitrinath Arogya Sansthan. If and when patient or health services begin, any medical or health information will be governed by a separate, stricter privacy policy appropriate to health data. This website notice does not cover patient records, and no patient health data is collected here.
